What is Sea Moss?

Sea Moss is an umbrella term for two different types of sea vegetables - which are similar to kelp and seaweed - grown mainly in the Atlantic & Caribbean Oceans.

Chondrus Crispi grows in colder, northern waters around New England and Ireland (hence the term Irish Moss) and is Dark Green or Brown in color. The Gracilaria and Cottini versions of Sea Moss are grown in warmer, Caribbean waters and come in Gold, Green, Purple and Pink variations.

At Lovers Rock Sea Moss, we only use the Caribbean version of Sea Moss in all our infusions.

Known for its health benefits to Caribbean people for centuries, its recent rise in popularity has deemed it a "superfood" as it contains MANY of the Essential Minerals the human body needs.

How do I use Lovers Rock Sea Moss Gel?

We recommend taking 1-2 tablespoons a day, ideally in the morning. You can add it to your favorite juices, smoothies, protein shakes, teas and even oatmeal!

How long does Lovers Rock Sea Moss Gel stay fresh?

Since our Sea Moss is all-natural with no preservatives and made-to-order, it should be refrigerated as soon as you receive it and will stay fresh for up to 4 weeks.

If you’re coming up on that 4 week expiration date and still have a lot leftover, you can transfer the rest to a freezer-safe container (ice tray, plastic container) and it will last up to 3 months frozen.

Does your Sea Moss Gel have a salt water taste to it?

Not at all! We wash our Sea Moss several times before soaking in alkaline water, so all traces of sea salt are removed. You will only taste the goodness that comes with our Infusions!

Is Sea Moss Gel safe for children?

Absolutely! Our Sea Moss can be consumed by all members of your family. It is 100% Organic, Sugar-Free, Gluten-Free, and contains no tree nuts of any kind. However, please be mindful when using our Sea Moss Gels if you are allergic or sensitive to any of our infusion ingredients.

When do you ship orders?

All orders are made fresh Sunday evening for Monday morning shipping* to keep your Lovers Rock Sea Moss Gel at peak freshness. We use USPS or UPS Priority Shipping which usually takes 1-3 business days.

Orders must be placed by Sunday 6pm for next day shipping. All orders placed after 6pm will be shipped out the following Monday*

*Orders ship Tuesday morning if Monday is a Federal holiday
